High River – Home of Heartland Official Launch Street Party

Where: 3rd Avenue, between Centre Street and Macleod Trail downtown.

When: Saturday June 16, 2012: 11:30AM – 1:30PM (2 hours)

Event Highlights:

- Free Picnic hosted by the Downtown Business Association, sponsored by Sobeys and Bon Ton Meat Pies. (while supplies last)

- Music and Entertainment on Stage

- Official greetings from High River Mayor and Town Council

- Cake Cutting Ceremony featuring High River Council and cast of Heartland (cake and cupcakes will be handed out – while supplies last)

- Onstage Q & A Session with Heartland castmembers:

Amber Marshall (Amy)
Shaun Johnston (Jack)
Michele Morgan (Lou)
Graham Wardle (Ty)
Alisha Newton (Georgie – a new character being introduced in season 6)

- Maggie’s Diner will be open to the public for photographs

- Chuck wagons and drivers will be on hand for photos and autographs

- Riley the Horse (High River’s Mascot) will be there

- Sun Country 99.7FM will be broadcasting live all morning and throughout the event

- Giving away collectible High River – Home of Heartland souvenirs (while supplies last)
