Throughout much of the year, Taber is a quiet little town just east of Lethbridge with numerous amenities for a relaxing getaway from the city with an 18-hole golf course, sports fields, a community recreation center, and friendly people. But if excitement is what you’re looking for, plan to visit Taber during their annual Cornfest, held every year in August.
2012 Cornfest ran from August 23-25 and featured events such as a corn-eating contest, a corn-stuffing contest, corn tastings, live entertainment, a cornbread competition, skateboarding competition, and so much more! The weekend was equally accessible to all ages with something for everyone to enjoy! And let’s not forget about the corn! For just $1.50 you could get a fresh, hot cob of corn slathered in buttery goodness, but be warned, it is very easy to eat a few too many.
Different events run on different days to be prepared to stay the weekend!
