2013 Taber Pheasant Festival
October 19-26, 2013 will bring the 3rd Annual Taber Pheasant Festival to Southern Alberta! Featuring a Novice hunt the first weekend which allows new hunters to learn gun safety, shoot clay targets, and receive shooting instruction from mentors. After the instruction, novice hunters will have an opportunity to hunt pheasants with a mentor.
A full week of hunting offers the release 3,600 pheasants on 30 sites, all within an hour’s drive from Taber. On Friday, October 25, the Taber Community Centre hosts the Festival Dinner and Silent Auction to celebrate a successful festival and thank the participating landowners and sponsors. Door prizes and a silent auction raise funds for next year’s festival. (Tickets sold separately)
The Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre in Taber is proud to support this exciting event and will be offering a special rate to hunters during the event! Call 1-888-888-4374 or 403-223-4424 and ask for the PHEA rate.
